The Gold Humanism Honor Society at the Perelman School of Medicine is composed of students dedicated to the self-reflection, empathy, and community-organization required to comprehensively heal.

Though our chapter was founded in 2012, The Gold Humanism Honor Society was created in 2002 by the Arnold P. Gold foundation. Currently, there are over 25,000 members worldwide, in training and beyond.

As an organization stressing the importance of empathy in patient care, we have a variety of programs aimed to improve patient and provider well-being. We also take great pride in our community coalition programs, through which we strive to learn from and partner with the local population, both within and outside of a medical context.

We encourage all to explore our website, learn more about our organization, and reach out to any of our members if you have questions or ideas. We are also on twitter and instagram (links at the bottom of this webpage). Please give us a follow for additional information!
